Stars Walk-of-Fame
Congratulations and thank you to the incredible STA students, faculty/staff, and Star Parents Association volunteers for the wonderfully successful Stars Walk-of-Fame and Color Throw held on April 25. The event surpassed both expectations and first year earnings. Funds raised from the walk will support the school's endowment fund and the Emergency Fund which provides assistance to families in financial crisis.
Over 550 students walked one mile on the track and then joined in a circle on the southwest corner of campus to be doused in colored powder. It was a very fun and very colorful day at STA! Thanks again to all who helped support and make this event so successful.

Greetings!
It seems incredible that summer is just around the corner. As the school year begins to wrap up, I will continue to keep you informed of necessary details and information to make the transition into summer a smooth process.
- Upon the completion of finals, all students are required to return their netbook, charger, cables, and netbook bag to the school for upgrades and repairs. Please be sure your daughter backs up any files she wishes to keep on an external flash drive or uploads them to a Cloud computing application like Google Docs. Any damage or repairs that are not covered by the warranty will be noted and formally documented when your daughter drops the netbook off after finals in May.
- All grade reports will be mailed home the first week of June.
Warmest wishes,
Barbara McCormick |

A Note From Mrs. Good
Dear Friends,
There are simply not enough words to express the thankfulness that our family has for the community of St. Teresa's Academy. From the prayers, support, and encouragement we received during Don's hospitalization and the early days of his diagnosis through the overwhelming support for us at his death we knew nothing but love. For absolutely everything done for us and with us, we are most grateful. Thank you for praying, laughing, crying, and singing with us! This community reflects God's living presence in word, action, and deed!
With grace, peace and gratitude,
Robin Good and family

News from the Guidance Department
- Avoid Cramming! Start preparing far enough in advance so that you are able to identify any areas you do not understand and you can get the help you need well in advance.
- Consider creating a study group with classmates to compare your class notes, listen to and discuss concepts in a new way, and to help motivate and encourage yourself in the studying process.
- When studying, ask yourself what questions are likely to be asked and answer them by using ideas from lectures, textbooks, and handouts.
- Get plenty of sleep, especially the night before the exam. Staying up late to study the night before the exam will hurt more than help.
- Eat a healthy meal before the exam - avoid processed foods, soft drinks, and sugar.
- Have all the materials you will need for the test gathered together the night before the exam and try to arrive at the test location early so that you can relax and mentally prepare.
- Visit the Guidance Counseling Moodle page for links to websites with additional information on how to study!
Ideas for summer enrichment for students of all grades:
- volunteer
- employment
- shadow a career professional in a current interest area
- visit a college campus
- summer enrichment courses on college campuses
- complete a career interest inventory on MO Connections
