WELCOME!
greencoffeemug

Keep an eye out for our new coffee mugs. We will be setting out green coffee mugs alongside the regular ones with the coffee after services. If you are new to St. Paul's, new to a different service or just haven't been in a while, let us know by picking up one of the green mugs and giving us a chance to introduce ourselves. For our long-time members, extend a greeting and invite them into conversation. We tend to say hello to the same people week after week. Take a minute and meet someone new!

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY
Interfaith Hospitality Volunteers Needed for May 5-12!
Often, we must go out into the world to be of service, but with Interfaith Hospitality, the chance to serve comes right to our doorstep! What could be simpler?

St. Paul's once gain has the privilege of providing a meal, shelter and friendship to families in need of permanent housing, during the week of May 5-12. We need volunteers for each evening of our guests' stay, for the following Jobs: Dinner Hosts (cook and serve a meal); Evening Hosts (orient guests, visit, help with homework, etc.); and Overnight Hosts. Sign up after the 9:00 and 11:00 services on April 14, 21, and 28, or contact Michelle Deister for questions and signups: michelledeister@hotmail.com or (503-930-7888).

Training
There will be a training/ information session for volunteers and anyone interested in our Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN)  hosting of homeless families,on April 28th, in Room 116 after the 11:00 service. All volunteers are urged to participate,  T.J. Putnam, the director of Salem IHN, will lead the seminar.

COOKBOOK
The Outreach Committee is seeking your favorite mouth-watering recipes to be included in the St. Paul's Cookbook, to be published later this year.  Recipes can be e-mailed to Peter Alotta at paalotta@yahoo.com or placed in the Outreach mailbox.  Our goal is 300 recipes so the sooner we have the recipes, the sooner we can share your favorite dish with the rest of the parish.

Remember that it's perfectly fine to submit more than one recipe: the more the merrier!

Children's Ministry This Sunday in Children's chapel the focus is on Tabitha and on loving acts. This discussion will continue in Seasons of the Spirit, while Building Blocks explores knowing Jesus in doubt. Sunday School happens immediately following the 9:00 a.m. service. Please help children to get there right away, so that they do not miss any of the essential information used in the lesson, and to preserve the continuity of the lesson for the other students.
