East Middle School students host Comic-Con event to showcase their writing

Friday, Oct. 2, eighth grade students at East Middle School hosted a Comic-Con event featuring their own comic book creations. Over the last several weeks, students have worked through the writing process to prepare their work for publication. During the event, these young authors celebrated the publishing phase of the writing process with fellow students and parents. Some students used iPad applications, while others created their books by hand. The event also included live readings and art demonstrations. The JHS Cartoonist Club also participated in the art demonstrations.
