A Word From Our President

At Carson Health we recognize how important it is to provide health and wellness education to the communities we serve. We understand patients want to be educated more now than ever before and we want to help. I would like to take this opportunity to announce our new "Hear About Your Health" series. These will be free events offering a variety of different topics hosted by our professional medical staff.

Kicking off the series on December 5, will be Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Adam Cote. Dr. Cote will provide information about knee injuries, arthroscopic surgery and knee replacements.

Carson Health will also be providing a fun FREE event for children. Families can come in their pajamas to the Carson Health Kids Pajama Party, Thursday, December 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. The event will feature crafts, holiday snacks, photos with Santa and a special book reading.

Hunter Safety Tips

Gun deer season is right around the corner. Please take a moment to brush up on 10 quick safety tips to keep you and those hunting around you safe.

1.  Every time you see, pick up, or point a gun, assume that it's loaded.

2.  Always wear orange so you do not become another hunter's target.

3.  Store and transport ammunition separate from your gun.

4.  Stay sober and do not take any mind-altering drugs before or during hunting.

5.  If you are unable to hunt with a buddy, be sure someone knows where you are and when to expect you back.

6.  Be 100% sure of your target and know what is beyond it.

7.  Never climb up or down a tree stand with your gun. Use a strong rope or cord to pull or lower your rifle.

8.  Always use fall restraints and harnesses when you are using a tree stand.

9. If your gun fails to fire, remember to keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction until you can get the safety on.

10. Always ware eye and ear protection when shooting any firearm.
