Winter Safety

January is off to a modest start as far as winter storms. Just remember these few safety tips to help keep you and your family safe when out on the Michigan winter roads.

1. Know your route and keep up with the weather conditions.

2. Pack a winter travel safety kit, such as ice scraper, tow rope, blankets, flashlight, and matches.

3.  SLOW DOWN! A good rule of thumb is to reduce your speed by 50% in snowy conditions.

4. Make sure your tires are in good condition.

5. If you get stuck, stay in your vehicle and wait for assistance.
