Summer has finally graced us with its presence in Northwestern Ontario and you know what that means! The countdown to the fifth annual Miles with the Giant is on! We only have three months until the big day, so get out there and take advantage of the sunshine while you train!
  
Running season is upon us and we wish all our runners the best as they participate in any of the numerous races happening over the next few weeks. The Miles with the Giant crew will be travelling to Winnipeg and Duluth to cheer on the participants and to exhibit at their Expo. Pop by our booth to enter our prize draw of two complimentary entries and two nights accommodation at one of our host hotels! 
  
 Online registration is open!  Register before July 31st to get the best pricing and don't forget to help out one of our Run for a Reason Charities with a donation or by raising pledges towards their important cause.
NEW for 2014!  Course Detour

Miles with the Giant 2014 will have a slightly different course as Court Street bridge over McVicar creek will be under construction. Plans for the new route are being confirmed with the City of Thunder Bay and will be announced closer to the date. 

 

Fundraising Opportunity for Sports & Community Groups

Miles with the Giant will donate funds to any Not-for-Profit organization or sports' team who can provide a minimum of ten, 18+ volunteers to act as road marshals on race day. We want to work in partnership with organizations throughout the city to improve the event for Thunder Bay; while supporting the projects and goals of various organizations in the community.


We encourage dressing up in your uniforms, t-shirts, painting your face, playing music, bringing your banner and having fun while encouraging the race participants and promoting your own organization! It is great exposure for your organization and a quick and exciting way to make some extra funds for your own fundraising initiatives.

Marketing Opportunity for Local Businesses!

Miles with the Giant is introducing a new feature in 2014: Virtual Racekits. We are welcoming all local businesses to capitalize on this exciting new marketing opportunity by placing an ad in our Virtual Racekit. 

 

For a small fee of $25, local businesses will have the opportunity to be included in our new Virtual Racekits that reach over 1200+ individuals. It is an excellent avenue to promote your own cause or business while adding extra flare to the event.
