Each month we will be introducing a new member of the BYC team. This Month....
The Management:
Kat:
As a Child what did you want to be when you grew up?
Always an actor. Never anything else. It surprises me even now that I'm also a bikram teacher, but the two jobs have their similarities. Actors transform time and space and, once they've told their story, leave you richer with perhaps a new perspective and a greater understanding of something, someone or yourself. Practising yoga is also about evolving as a person, having new insight into yourself, freeing yourself from old ideas.
How did you come to Bikram Yoga?
Friends. Always the best way to discover anything. Fed had gone home to visit his folks and I was at a loose end. So I walked up the stairs and asked to do just one class. The lady behind reception asked if I wanted to do the intro offer and I said I wasn't sure I had time and she said that it was funny that once you discovered bikram yoga you sort of made the time. I wasn't convinced - till 90 minutes later!
Favourite Food?
At the moment Iren's rawbonbons!
Super Power - What would you choose?
Enlightenment. Presence. Surely there is little else more powerful than these things.
Your Perfect Day?
Making films with Fed. He always writes interesting people for me to play and it's always loads of fun.

Francesca:
How did you come to Bikram Yoga?
I fell off a horse and as you can imagine did some pretty interesting & painful things to my poor, already troubled, back... One of my friends suggested Bikram Yoga might help... how right was she... Thank you Susie!
Favourite Food?
Uhm - all of it - Chocolate is pretty high up the list though!
Super Power - What would you choose?
Do you remember a show called 'Out of this World' (showing my age), it was about a half alien girl who could pause time... I often think, during my working day, it would be amazing to be able to pause time so I can get everything done.... ! This is not a reflection on BYC, in my previous incarnation making kids DVDs, I would often find myself at 3am endeavouring to edit something day dreaming that if I could just pause time, I could go to sleep for a bit and still get the job finished! Wouldn't mind being able to fly either....
Best Bikram moment to date -personal or professional?
My favourite moments are seeing and hearing about peoples' Bikram journeys and the amazing things it can do for their lives.... This is why we are here and why we do our job.
Your Perfect Day?
It would have to involve: good friends, a good book, a beach, a pool, cappuccino, chocolate, sunshine, surfing (when I say surfing I mean falling off a surfboard obviously), whale watching, cocktails, The River Cafe & Ryan Gosling/a Ryan Gosling alike (i'd also be happy with Jake Gyllenhaal or a Jakealike).
