Tennis Director, Ross Eaton, will be running four days of junior training camps over the holiday break. The focus will be on developing technique, match playing skills and using shot patterns.

Monday through Thursday, April 8-11

Levels 1&2: 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Level 3: 2:00pm -3:30pm

Level 4: 3:30pm -5:30pm

Level 5: 5:00pm -7:00pm

$20 per day, or $60 for all four days!

Guests & Pre-Members are $25 per day, or $75 for all four days!

Cinco de Mayo Party

Come join the fiesta! We'll play tennis and enjoy chips and salsa from 2pm until 5pm in a round robin format (all levels, all genders, all adults, all for only $5 per person). After tennis, let's head to Ricardo's in Factoria for dinner.

Jan Tanaka Retires

Jan, our friendly bookkeeper who sends us those pesky monthly statements, is riding off into the sunset. She's retiring from Edgebrook after many years of dedicated service to our club.

She became a club member in 1993. In 1996 she began her employment with us, and has worn many hats along the way. Now she'll don her cowgirl hat, and spend her time enjoying her pony and her involvement with the High Valley Riders Equestrian Drill Team.

Jan, thank you for the many wonderful years of service!

Cups Sign Ups

Ladies, mark your calendars and set your alarms. Cups sign up begins on April 15 at 8:00am. If you miss the start time, no worries. It will continue through April 30 at 10:00pm. There are lots of details to know. The Cups Committee is preparing a detailed fact sheet that will be available at the sign up area.

There are two choices for signing up:

1. Sign up in person at the club. You may only sign up for yourself.

2. Call Brad; he is the only designated staff member for telephone sign up.

USTA Senior Mixed League

The information below is provided by Grace Abraides, League Coordinator

The much enjoyed 40 plus and 50 plus Mixed Doubles League is around the corner. The league is new, the format is new and the coordinator is new! The plan is to play a tournament style format at a single venue (location will be determined later) Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21. On Thursday and Friday, play will start at 5:00pm. On Saturday and Sunday, play will be throughout the day. There will be a four match minimum, and Sectionals will be held in August in Sun River. The year end 2012 ratings will be used to determine your level of play. Other details will be forthcoming.

Team confirmation forms can be obtained by emailing Grace Abraldes at nwtennis@live.com . You must return the form by email to her no later than April 20.

Spring Cleaning Assessment

It's Spring cleaning time around here, so let's get sprucing!

Please email Winnie at happywinnie@hotmail.com prior to May 01 to make arrangements to spend four fun hours preparing our pool and grounds for the busy summer. Her email address is happywinnie@hotmail.com

If your schedule is too full to commit four hours, then choose to pay $50 toward the cost of having the work done for you. If you choose this option, no need to do anything. We'll just put the fee onto your June bill.

Members who joined the club after March 1 are not obligated this year...we'll catch you next time!!!

Eugenio asked us to express his deepest gratitude to everyone for the thoughtful words, and especially for the generous contributions that were made in memory of his 16 year old daughter who died during surgery last month.

Eugenio is with his family in Texas; he'll return next week.
