You're Invited To The Korean War Remembrance Ceremony At ASOM

Dear Army's Army Partners and Members,

Please join us this Saturday, June 29th at 10 a.m. at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum (ASOM) for a special Korean War Remembrance Ceremony you won't want to miss.

The event will feature guest speaker Captain Young Chang Ha, a retired chaplain from the U.S. Navy, who was born in North Korea near the China border. As a child, his father gathered the family together at the start of the war and, traveling at night to evade capture by the North Korean soldiers, fled to South Korea. Captain Ha graduated high school in 1954 and lived in Seoul, South Korea during the entire war.

NC Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 will also be on hand to highlight five North Carolina Korean War MIAs and present a "Missing Man Table" in their honor.

There will also be a musical performances by Fredericksburg, VA high school band, The Enduring Freedom Honor Team, and Eun Young Kim, a highly awarded Korean singer in the art of Pansori. Ms. Kim has performed around the world and has been invited to numerous countries by many heads of states.

This special event is a true demonstration of the Fayetteville community coming together to show it's appreciation for the heroes of the Forgotten War.

Volunteers are also needed to help take down the Field of Honor after the ceremony, so if you are interested in helping, please let me know.

Thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you there!
