ARMY'S ARMY HAPPENINGS
The Army's Army & Sam's Club Team Up To Celebrate The U.S. Army's 238th Birthday & Say Thank You To Local Veterans

On Friday, June 14th The Army's Army and Sam's Club teamed up to honor and celebrate the 238th birthday of the U.S. Army. The event kicked off at Sam's Club, with a card signing and ceremony to honor our local veterans. Attendees wrote personal notes of appreciation that were then hand-delivered to our heroes at the Fayetteville VA Hospital.
Following the card signing, members from the Rolling Thunder Chapter escorted everyone to the VA Hospital to surprise veterans with a giant cake, made by Sam's Club. The first piece of cake was cut by special guest Mr. Flanders, a World War II, Vietnam, and Korean war veteran.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to support this event!

Mellow Mushroom Joins The Army's Army

The Army’s Army would like to extend a special welcome to our newest partner, Mellow Mushroom.
On June 17th, we teamed up with the restaurant for our second fundraiser, presented as part of Mellow's Mushroom Give Back program. A portion of the proceeds from that day were donated to The Army's Army and we'd like to thank everyone who came out to show their support.
If you missed the last fundraiser, please join us for the next one on July 8th!
SONIC FUNDRAISER THANKS OUR MILITARY!
Thanks again to everyone who came out to show their support for
the military by eating at Sonic on June 3rd and 17th. A portion of the proceeds from those evenings were
donated to the Army's Army to help further our mission of

Featured Volunteer : Spotlight
Eunice Blanco Krumweide
This month we would like to recognize Eunice Blanco Krumweide, who was born and raised in the sun city of El Paso, Texas. The daughter of two immigrants from Mexico, Eunice attended Bel Air High School and continued her education in business management and martial arts at Boarder Institute of Technology and at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She is a mother of three and grandmother of one.
Eunice started working with the community as a volunteer in the area of mental health, assisting families struggling with children and teens with behavioral and mental health issues, providing resources, and interpreter services. In 1991 she married and moved to Germany where she continued to assist the community as an interpreter in the Mexican Consulate office, as well as other Spanish speaking countries such as Spain and Argentina.
In 2005 she moved to North Carolina and has been active in serving the community in her spare time. She is now a certified interpreter and enjoys assisting productive members of our community in the areas of Human Services, medical and legal.
She volunteers her services at The Care Clinic, Fayetteville Psychiatric and the office of Dr. Oscar Franco. She also volunteers regularly at the Salvation Army, helping our homeless. She has been working with Cumberland County Board of Elections for 6 years and has recently been appointed Chief Judge at the Cliffdale Recreation Center where she will encourage community members to exercise their right to vote.
She is also a small business owner/operator and enjoys providing party decorating and event planning services. Her hobbies include martial arts and antique car restoration. She also enjoys seamstress work and has become well known in the bridal, formal and pageant industry.
Eunice has been an Army's Army member for years and truly enjoys being around the military and participating in rewarding events that acknowledge the service and sacrifice of our troops and their families.
