AMERICAN TAEKWONDO
REGIONAL TOURNAMENT HELPED BENEFIT CHILDREN OF THE
FALLEN™

On Saturday, January 26th, the ATA Leadership Academy of
Fayetteville hosted the ATA Regional Tournament, in support
of the Army’s Army Children of the Fallen™
mentoring program.
The tournament featured highly-skilled black belts, as well as
some of the younger Tiny Tigers, and white, orange and yellow
belts who worked their way up to black belt. A portion of all
t-shirt sales and entrance fees went towards supporting our
Children Of The Fallen™ mentoring program. Thank you to everyone
who came out to support this event!

CHILDREN HAD A GREAT TIME
AT RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR BRAND NEW PLAY AREA AT CROSS
CREEK MALL

Convention & Visitors Bureau, (FACVB) in conjunction
with the Army’s
Army and Cross

Cumberland County and provides kids with a fun, interactive way
to learn about their community. Everyone had a blast at the
event, which featured a variety of children’s
entertainment, and crafts provided by partners like:
Cross Creek Mall
Fascinate-U Children’s Museum
Cape Fear Botanical Garden

United Way of Cumberland County
Even local Mascots such as Truman the Dragon, Fun-Go, the
Chick-fil-A cow, Chick-fil-A Jr., and McGruff the Crime Dog
were there to celebrate. Thanks to Mr. John Meroski, CEO of the
FACVB for being our guest speaker.
