ARMY'S ARMY HAPPENINGS

The Army’s Army would like to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. This time of year is about giving thanks and that is exactly what we all did at Heroes Homecoming II!

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in Heroes Homecoming II this year.

The three-day event kicked off on Friday, November 9th at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum (ASOM) with a Book Signing, Flag Dedication Ceremony and Paver Unveiling Ceremony. Attendees were able to pay tribute to Fort Bragg KIA’s from Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as honor Medal of Honor recipients.

A special dedication ceremony was also held in honor of fallen soldier, SPC Carl D. Hall II, a member of the 325 AIR; 82nd Airborne Division. A paver stone was unveiled in front of ASOM for his family and friends, who were able to share this special time together during a very moving tribute.

On Saturday, November 10th the streets of downtown Fayetteville were lined with families holding ‘Thank You’ banners, which were given out before the parade for all to show their love and support to our veterans. The parade was designed to honor all veterans and their families, with this year’s ceremonies holding an emphasis on showing gratitude for Iraq War Veterans.

On Sunday, November 11th the Airborne & Special Operations Museum and Rolling Thunder Chapter held a special POW/MIA vigil which began at noon with a memorable ceremony. Service members marched for eight hours guarding the Missing Man Table.

Thanks For Supporting Our Military!

We would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support for the military by eating at Sonic Monday, November 5th and Monday, November 19th..

A portion of the proceeds from both evenings was donated to the Army's Army to help further our mission of supporting soldiers, veterans and their families.

Sonic, who is one of our newest partners, will be hosting fundraisers for the Army's Army twice a month, so if you weren't able to make it last time, you’ll have other opportunities on Monday, December, 3rd and 17th.

Shopping For A Cause

We would like to thank Mr. Mayhew and his team of Young Men of Distinction and the Jeralds G.E.M.S. from Luther “Nick” Jeralds Middle School for their help and support in selling tickets for the Belk Charity Day Sale on November 3rd. Together we raised close to $1,000, which will go towards the Army’s Army Children of the Fallen mentoring program.

Soldiers Say 'Thanks Again' For Dining At Fazoli's!

Fazoli's Event

We would like to thank everyone who came out today, November 30th to eat at Fazoli's and show their support for the military.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Army's Army to help further our mission of supporting soldiers, veterans and their families.

Fazoli's and the Army's Army will be teaming up once a month, so if you missed this one, stay tuned for the next one in December. And, as always, we would like to thank Fazoli's for their continued support.
