VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Dear Army's Army Members,
Thank you for your commitment to our community! Because of your expertise about greater Fayetteville, we thought you might have an interest in helping the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) present the best product possible to our community’s visitors.
The FACVB is hosting the Midwest Travel Writers in Fayetteville /Cumberland County from April 24th through April 29th. Forty-two members, consisting of journalists and public relations guests, will be in town for the duration of the event. The 5 day event will include meetings, familiarization tours, dinners, and other special events. We are hoping that this experience will leave them with many great stories about Fayetteville that they can share with their readers.
Throughout the 5 day event, the FACVB is hosting a hospitality room at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux. Attendees will be able to pick up drinks and snacks, ask questions about the event, use the computers and network with other writers.
We are looking for volunteers to help staff the the hospitality room. Ideally, we'd like to have 2 volunteers for each of the shifts below.
*Tuesday, 4/24/12 From 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. OR 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
*Wednesday, 4/25/12 From 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. OR 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. OR 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. OR 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
*Thursday, 4/26/12 From 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. OR 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
*Friday, 4/27/12 From 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
*Saturday, 4/28/12 From 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
*Sunday, 4/29/12 From 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
*Please note the 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shift follows dinner.
