ARMY'S ARMY HAPPENINGS
Taekwondo Tournament Supports The Army’s Army
We would like to thank everyone who came out on Saturday, January 21, to support this year’s American Taekwondo Association (ATA) Hometown Heroes Regional Tournament Army’s Army fundraiser. Those who didn’t compete enjoyed watching the tournament, which was filled with fast, high-spinning kicks and highly-skilled black belts battling it out.
The ATA of Fayetteville will be donating a portion of all the proceeds from this year’s ticket and t-shirt sales to the Army’s Army, to help us continue our efforts in supporting soldiers, veterans and their families.
Also we’d like to give a special thanks to Master Michael Brown, who hosted the event and Hardees, one of the event sponsors.
Show Your Love For The Military Around Valentine’s Day At Fazoli’s!
Is it possible to eat great food and show your love for those in the military at the same time? Yes, it is. Fazoli’s and the Army’s Army have teamed up again. This time you can show your appreciation for our service men and women around Valentine’s Day. On Friday, February 17, show you care by dinning either in or out at Fazoli’s. Fazoli’s, will donate a portion of sales to the Army’s Army. Money raised during this event will go directly towards funding the Army’s Army mission of supporting soldiers, veterans and their families.

Tammy Hopkins |
|
This month we would like to recognize Tammy Hopkins. Not only is Tammy one of our first inaugural memebers, her company, CBL & Associates, is also our newest partner.
This past June, the Army’s Army partnered with Tammy and CBL & Associates to put on a Flash Mob for a military Dad during Father’s Day Weekend. The Flash Mob was produced in an effort to pay tribute to and show appreciation for the troops of Fort Bragg and all soldiers throughout the country. Currently the video has over 19,000 views. To view the video please click here.
When Tammy is not busy working at CBL & Associates, she truly enjoys being involved in community outreach activities. Tammy relocated to Fayetteville, NC in 2006 and was later inducted into the Army's Army First Inaugural Group in May of 2008. Other community involvement has included serving on the Fort Bragg Regional Alliance Retail and Entertainment Committee, a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the Fayetteville community, Fayetteville Young Professionals Marketing Chair and member, Cumberland County's Partnership for Children Public Awareness and Development Committee and other community initiatives.
Tammy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Marketing Concentration. She is now a Regional Marketing Specialist with CBL & Associates, which is one of the largest mall real estate investment trusts in the United States. CBL & Associates is an active developer of regional malls, open air centers, lifestyle and community centers. Tammy, has worked with CBL & Associates for the past eight years.
Tammy enjoys being close to the coast, sailing, traveling, spending time with her family and of course, shopping!
