Volunteers Needed For Heroes Crusade: An Athlete’s Campaign
Dear Army's Army Members,
The Army’s Army needs your help!
We are only three weeks away from a wonderful heartfelt event that I would like to tell you more about. It is taking place right here in Fayetteville/Cumberland County.
Heroes Crusade: An Athelete’s Campaign is a special event to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, Green Beret Foundation, RDU AMBUCS and Ride 2 Recovery. The campaign consists of three events: The Heroes Crusade Golf Tournament, The Fallen Warrior Rugby Tournament, and the 5k Run/Walk/Bike.
This event is being held in conjuction with Heroes Homecoming, a 10 day welcome home for our Vietnam veterans. These events truly show our community's military support. Thank you for everything you do. We will need lots of help from our volunteers for these events.
Here is how you can help:
What: Heroes Crusade Golf Tournament
Where: Cypress Lakes Golf Course
When: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Minimum two hour shifts.
What: Heroes Crusade Run/Walk/Bike Race
Where: Medical Arts Building
When: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Minimum two hour shifts.
The goal of the Heroes Crusade campaign, which is being held in partnership with the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (FACVB), is to raise awareness and funds for wounded warriors, many of whom will be participating in the event.
