A FAREWELL TO LESLEY BACKUS
Dear Army's Army members -
Over the past six months, I have had the pleasure of serving as the Director as the Army’s Army. I could not be more proud of what the group has been able to accomplish in that time, and I sincerely appreciate the impact that you, as a volunteer, have had on our community’s military families.
From handing out toys to children of deployed and fallen soldiers to supporting the relocating military families about to call Fayetteville home, the Army’s Army is achieving its mission of watching over those who watch over us. I thank you for your time and support, as the impact that our volunteers have had in this community is immeasurable.
We are currently in the process of transitioning a new person to take over as the Director of the Army’s Army. While I will no longer serve as the Director, I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to lead the organization and interact with so many of our volunteers.
Looking forward, the Army’s Army will continue to do everything we can to make military families feel welcome and appreciated in our community. You will still receive all volunteer opportunities via e-mail, and updates will be sent on a regular basis. We look forward to your continued involvement and thank you for everything you do to make this community a military sanctuary for soldiers and their families.
