RELOCATING MILITARY FAMILIES NEED YOUR EXPERTISE!

Dear Army's Army members -

In our efforts to continue giving relocating families a look at what its like to be an everyday resident, we created 6 volunteer committees on Army’s Army to aid in the growing questions the residents have in Fayetteville. Where we appreciate all members of the Army’s Army, and those that participate on committees, we still need to enhance these committees to meet the needs of new military and non-military families moving to Fayetteville.

The three committees that need more volunteers are: Q&A Committee - An open forum that allows relocating military families to send public/private questions to learn more about Fayetteville.
Blog Committee - FayettevilleWantsYou.com has a blog with information that relocating families find relevant to our community. Currently we have three bloggers but need additional volunteers to write at least one post a month.
Relocation Guide - This committee helps update the relocation guides presently on Fayetteville Wants You under the Everything You Need Relocation Help Section. We need additional assistance in addressing the following demographics:

Housing: Current information contains only Community Housing Stats. It would be good to include information and a guide on the different real estate agencies/homebuyers in the towns and neighborhoods of Cumberland County.
Public Safety: Current guide contains information with security emergency numbers. It would be helpful to include information on police & fire departments for all Cumberland County towns, as well general information on where future residents can access stats for Public Safety. In addition, highlight any special programs in place to address public safety in the community.
Economic Development: Currently there is no guide on employment. It would be beneficial to include information on the largest employers in Cumberland County, best places to find local jobs, and programs within the community and Fort Bragg specifically directed towards helping spouses find jobs.

BRAC Regional Task Force is preparing for the significant impact on our communities where an additional 40,000 military and civilian personnel and their families move US Army Reserve Command and US Army Forces Command from Fort McPherson GA to Fort Bragg. If you would like to lend your support to improving these committee groups, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
