COME VOLUNTEER WITH AMERICAN RED CROSS AND THE HOTTEST RACE IN THE SOUTH
Dear Army's Army members -
As part of the summer-long event’s in the Fayetteville community, American Red Cross would like Army’s Army to volunteer at the Rock-N-Run fest fundraiser on August 22nd, 2009. The event will include a 10k, 5k a 1 mile Fun Walk and concerts beginning at 2 pm featuring, the Embers, the Breakfast Club and Edwin McCain
The City Of Fayetteville has claimed this event as the largest Summer Event in Fayetteville. They will need help with the following functions: working booths, hospitality tent, security, medical (First Aid-CPR qualified), and marshals. In return for your heartfelt service, volunteers will receive a t-shirt, tickets to the concerts and a food coupon all for free.
All volunteers will need to attend at least one of the orientations being held at the following locations:
*August 12th at 11:30 a Pope AFB Airman Family Readiness Center Conference Room (Across the street from Pope Gas Station) or 4:30p at Highland Chapter off of Bragg Blvd.
*August 13th (noon) at the Highland Chapter off of Bragg Blvd or 4:30 p at the Pope Airforce Community Center (Use the be the Rocker Fellers Pizza) on Reilly Rd.
* August 15th at 10:00 am again at the Highland Chapter off of Bragg Blvd.
At the orientation, all volunteers will briefed on what they can wear, work times, job, and where to go to check in on the day of. Those volunteering will need to work at least a four-hour shift.
This is a wonderful opportunity for members of the Army’s Army, families, friends, and new members of the community, volunteer together and support the American Red Cross.
