The Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program (TCE) is now in full swing. Our tax preparers are ready to file your federal and state tax returns at locations throughout Monterey County. Group Discussion Wellness Lecture Series

The Senior Peer Counseling Program (SPC) has a number of wellness lectures scheduled for the spring. Presentations will be held in Salinas, Soledad and Greenfield and will be offered in English and Spanish.

Volunteer Opportunity

Are you over 55 and want to make a difference in the life of a Monterey County Senior? You can volunteer as a Senior Peer Counselor with Alliance on Aging. Senior Peer Counselors offer emotional support and guidance to older adults who are coping with the challenges of aging.

It's Women's History Month! How have the changes in the movie roles of women affected your life? Join the Senior Peer Counselors to watch films and share your experiences or thoughts about your life and the social issues that changed the last 50 years of the 20th century. (Men invited and encouraged to attend.) This series is offered at two locations.

2016 South County Trashion Show

It's show time! The first South County Trashion Show will take place on Thursday, February 11 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds (Orradre Building) in King City. This fun filled event will showcase over 23 one-of-a-kind dresses made by local South County artists using recycled/re-purposed materials, such as candy wrappers, recycled papers and coffee bags. 

 

The event, a fundraiser and a luncheon, will give Alliance on Aging an opportunity to raise funds to support seniors throughout the South County. Butch Lindley and Karen Fanoe will co-host the event. Cost is $55 per person. Click here for information or call 831.655.1334.
