Today commencing at 2 p.m., going until as late as midnight, the Senate and the Assembly will be voting on the proposed budget to be forwarded to the Governor for his approval. The Governor has until June 30th to sign his budget, but last year he signed it on the 21st. We need to act now. This week may be our only chance to secure the much needed funding for local Ombudsman programs. 

The legislature has done its part in securing funding for the Long Term Care Ombudsman Programs, now it is up to the citizen advocates to carry our request into the Governor's office. We need to make sure the Governor hears our voices!
