Time to Talk

The Senior Peer Counseling program is holding a discussion group for retired seniors at the Active Seniors center in Salinas. Beginning Thursday, June 18 and continuing for the following 8 weeks, this group will discuss such topics as happiness after retirement, examining how you've changed since retiring, what your dreams & goals are for this new chapter and many other relevant topics. Participants will also be invited to make suggestions for new weekly topics. All input will be warmly welcomed.

TRASHION SHOW TICKET UPDATE

Tickets for the much anticipated Trashion Show will be available after June 22. To purchase tickets or for more information, contact Christine Lawson at 831.655.1334.

Designers are encouraged to submit a design made from recycled materials for this year's event. Please complete the application and return no later than July 24.


"Falling Short: The Coming Retirement Crisis and What to Do About It"

The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College has released a new Issue in Brief. Written by Alicia H Munnell, this piece describes the growing crisis that many of today's workers are up against when planning for retirement. In addition to breaking down the details of this great hurdle, the writer also describes possible solutions along with ways that workers can being to prepare for the inevitable obstacle that is to come.
