An Evening at The Theater

The historic and recently renovated Golden State Theater in downtown Monterey has some fabulous events scheduled for the coming months. I REMEMBER MAMA

This Mother's Day, May 10, 2015,  volunteers will deliver over 1,200 flowering plants to women living in 76 nursing homes and senior assisted living facilities  throughout Monterey County as part of the "I Remember Mama" event.

"I Remember Mama" has brightened the lives of senior women for 21 years. For many women living in senior homes, Mother's Day can be an especially lonely occasion. "I Remember Mama" has changed that.

Donations to "I Remember Mama" support the important work of AOA's Ombudsman program, which has served the Monterey County since 1980. The Ombudsman advocates for the safety and quality of care of seniors living in long-term care facilities by conducting regular on-site visits and making themselves available to residents who may be victims of neglect, abuse or violations of their rights.

Just $35 will buy a flowering plant for a senior on Mother's Day. Click here to

donate now or to make a credit card donation over the phone, contact

Christine Lawson or

Wanda Pan-Christiansen at 831.655.1334.
