Everybody's Doin It . . . Aging!

Be a voice for seniors and hop on the bus!

For the third year, a busload of seniors from throughout the county will appear before our county Board of Supervisors and celebrate Older American's Month. Sponsored by Monterey County's Community Voice for Aging, this is a timely opportunity for all of us to let our policy makers understand how critical the "Older Americans Act" programs are to seniors in our community. Look for more details in the April edition of @aoa.

Springtime Senior Events

Spring is upon us and there are a number of events fast approaching. The Salinas Senior Center will host three upcoming events:

1. a St. Patrick's Day dinner on March 11
2. the 9th Annual Seniors' Prom: April in Paris on April 26
3. a barbeque celebrating Older Americans Month on May 17

For information on any of these events call 831.757.6030.

Leaving a Legacy

We all want to be remembered, to feel that we've contributed something to the world. Your legacy is putting your stamp on the future. Have you considered including a bequest to the Alliance on Aging as part of your estate plan? Even a modest gift from your estate can help keep our services going well into the future. There are many ways to provide for such a gift. Check with your tax and financial advisors for more information.

We hope you will consider a gift to the Alliance out of your estate - it could make a difference for generations to come.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call
