The Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program has certified tax preparers ready to file your federal and state tax returns at locations throughout Monterey County. This service is provided to low income seniors at no cost to the tax payer. Spirals needs gently used clothing, jewelry, accessories and even small furniture items.

The Alliance on Aging office at 247 Main Street in Old Town Salinas, will be accepting donations for our benefit shop, Spirals, on February 27 and 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On those two days only, bring your goods to the back lobby accessible from Parking Lot #3 on Monterey Street. Your generous donations help support the programs and services of the Alliance on Aging.

On Friday, February 21 join the office of Senator Cannella and the Contractors State License Board for a FREE Senior Scam Stopper Seminar at Saint Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Salinas. Expert speakers will not only shed light on ways in which seniors can protect themselves when hiring for home repairs, but also suggest ways to guard against identity theft, insurance fraud, mail / telephone scams and more.
