I Remember MAMA
Please join forces with us to protect and assist the most fragile members of our community. This coming Mother's Day, honor your mother, grandmother or their memory by having a flowering plant from Rocket Farms delivered to a woman living in long-tern care who might otherwise not be acknowledged on this special day. Alliance on Aging's Ombudsman Program advocates for the vulnerable residents in nursing homes and residential care facilities throughout our county. Many of these seniors are without family or friends to speak on their behalf and often the Ombudsman is their only outside visitor! Staff and trained volunteers protect our senior citizens by visiting these facilities on a regular basis and are immediately available to residents who may be victims of neglect or abuse. Ombudsmen not only conduct complaint investigations and resolution, but are also a critical resource for placement information and guidance.
All citizens deserve to feel safe in their homes, and seniors living in long-term care are no exception. These facilities are their homes and safety is what the Ombudsman program ensures for them.
Click here to donate so that we may deliver a flowering plant(s) in time for Mother's Day.
If you would like to help deliver plants please call 655-7559 to speak with Christine Lawson. It is a rewarding experience to see how thrilled the women are to receive a beautiful plant and also a visitor. Families are encouraged to participate.
