@aoa . . . e-news from the Alliance on Aging

Welcome to 2013!

This year the Alliance on Aging proudly celebrates 43 years of leadership providing services and resources to hundreds of thousands of seniors and their families in Monterey County. Our services are available at many venues and outreach sites throughout the county as well as to homebound seniors. Currently there are 64,000 individuals 60 years and older that reside in Monterey County. Over 17,500 visitors came to our redesigned website last year. For seniors and their family members, our website provides a user friendly tool to explore our menu of services and activities. It also serves as a linkage to the other community resources that are available for seniors and their families in our community. We hope our website offers a good start point in seeking information and guidance about senior issues but invite you to call us with questions, concerns or to schedule an appointment for any our program services.

As a senior aged 60 or over, you may qualify for benefits that you didn't even know about.  Our Benefits Checkup Specialist will help you apply for CalFresh, Home Energy Assistance (HEAP), Medicare's Extra Help program, and more.  Call the Benefits Checkup hotline at 831.646.4922 or the Alliance on Aging main line at 831.655.1334 to schedule an appointment.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact

Michelle Noseworthy, Development Director at 831.655.4243.
