Greetings!

Welcome to 2015! I hope you had a peaceful holiday season - our family was fortunate to have some time off together over the holidays and it was very enjoyable. I am also excited, though, to be back at work and racing in to 2015. We are excited about our company's vision and opportunities! The economy, unemployment, housing, stock market, and other indicators are pointing to a robust year and that is exciting. Hopefully your company has the same optimism and plans for this year!

I did want to share something that we are doing with our management team: sprinting. No, not running, but doing sprints as part of a way to execute better and faster. I'm certainly not an expert in agile, but we have some excellent team members here that know quite a bit. We are applying aspects of agile such as a backlog of key items to work on, prioritizing the list, and then having a sprint. For us, that means taking one week a month to work "on" the business and tackle the prioritized list. Our goal is to complete an item before moving on - success is completing 1 item versus starting 5 items.

We are early on with this but everyone is very encouraged - I really believe we are on to something. Drop me an email if you want more details - hope your year is off to a great start!
