PASO Coalition Meets with Ontario Arts Council Senior Staff to Discuss Cuts to Arts Sector Executive Directors representing the Coalition of Provincial Arts Service Organizations (PASO), met with senior staff at the Ontario Arts Council to better understand the nature of forthcoming cuts to arts funding that were announced in a letter sent by the OAC to operational clients dated October 22, 2014.

Honouring Contributions to Community Theatre in Central Ontario The deadline for nominations for Theatre Ontario's Michael Spence Award for Contribution to Community Theatre is January 30. This year's award is presented to someone within the ACT-CO region: Toronto, Durham, York, Peel, Halton (excluding Burlington), Simcoe, Dufferin, and Muskoka.

Funding Professional Theatre Mentorships Do you need financial support for professional development or a "change of direction" in your career? The next deadline to apply for our Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP) is March 2.
The Professional Theatre Training Program offers financial support for unique and flexible training with a chosen mentor in any theatrical discipline (except performance.) Applicants must have at least two years of professional experience following their formal education.

Project Profiles from the Professional Theatre Training Program Last month we checked in with three projects: Pam Patel who is training in Artistic Direction with Majdi Bou-Matar at MT Space in Kitchener, Madeleine Donohue who trained in Producing and General Management with Monica Esteves and Eric Goldstein at Crow's Theatre in Toronto, and Shane Carty who trained in Directing with Douglas Beattie at Pie in the Sky Theatre in Stratford.

Congratulations Fall 2014 Youth Theatre Training Program Grant Recipients
We are excited to announce the latest recipients of training grants through Theatre Ontario's Youth Theatre Training Program (YTTP). $22,500 was awarded in total among the recipients.
This program is funded by the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario.
