Bridging the Gap Our next exciting initiative from our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is "Bridging the Gap" - a day to share perspectives, knowledge and experiences while connecting, networking and collaborating. Learn about the YAC and how to get involved in next year's committee!
This event will take place on November 15th at the beautiful Annex Theatre in Toronto, generously donated by Theatre Ontario Board member George Randolph.
The day will include speakers, an option of two workshops, a panel discussion, and a performance piece.

Festival is our annual showcase of outstanding community theatre productions, our classroom for passionate, dedicated community theatre artists, our celebration of excellence in community theatre, and our destination bringing together theatre lovers from across the province. Festival is co-hosted by Theatre Ontario, Oshawa Little Theatre, and the Association of Community Theatres - Central Ontario.

Save-the-Date for Next Generation Showcase We're pleased to announce that Theatre Ontario's Next Generation Showcase 2015 will be held on January 18 and 19, 2015 in the Michael Young Theatre at The Young Centre for the Performing Arts.
Theatre Ontario's Next Generation Showcase is our annual industry audition days for graduating students of post-secondary conservatory theatre training programs from across Ontario and the National Theatre School. Besides the students showcasing their talent, it also features panel discussions and networking parties for students, faculty and industry professionals to meet.

Building Entrepreneurial Capacity at the Managing Your Career Boot Camp Theatre Ontario held our first "Managing Your Career" boot camp in October, bringing together workshops on building your brand as an artist, social media as a professional tool, contract law for actors, and working with agents.
Biden Hall attended the boot camp and wrote about what he learned about "representation" on the Theatre Ontario Blog

Congratulations to the 2015 Neil Munro Intern Directors at the Shaw Festival Congratulations to Esther Jun and Peter Pasyk, who were chosen as the two Intern Directors for the 2015 season at the Shaw Festival.

Theatre Ontario's Michael Spence Award for Contribution to Community Theatre is presented annually to an individual for his/her outstanding contribution to community theatre in his/her region over a sustained time. The award is presented to an individual in the region that is hosting that year's Theatre Ontario Festival. In 2015, that is the Central Ontario region. The nomination deadline is January 30.
