The Rewards of Giving to Ontario Theatre
Thank you to everyone who joined us online on December 3 as we celebrated Giving Tuesday, the "opening day of the giving season", and talked about the importance and rewards of giving to theatre in Ontario.
Thank you also to everyone who has already given to us at Theatre Ontario in 2013. For over forty years Theatre Ontario has been fostering theatre in Ontario, nurturing theatre artists at every stage of their careers, and supporting and advocating for theatre across the province. Donors are an important part of this vibrant theatre network - we sincerely thank you for your generosity, encouragement, and commitment. We hope you take pride in the part you have played in creating an extensive and vital theatre network.
It's not too late to be part of this critical work - Donate to Theatre Ontario today

Funding Theatre Mentorships We are pleased to announce the latest recipients of training grants through our Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP). We thank all those who applied to the program. It was a competitive application round and we are happy to be able to support such a diverse group of artists. $38,012 was awarded in total among 13 recipients.
We are also providing new opportunities for successful PTTP applicants to network with each other and learn from past recipients. On December 5, two past PTTP recipients and their mentors are meeting with the new recipients on the topic of "How to get the most out of your mentorship." Arts Day at Queen's Park is Coming Theatre Ontario will once again be participating in Arts Day at Queen's Park.
Last winter's prorogation of the provincial legislature turned the event into "Arts Day in the Ridings." Enthusiastic volunteers met with MPPs across the province to talk about the value that theatre and the arts bring to communities across the province.
Plans are underway to bring that message to Queen's Park in February. Watch this space for more details.
