A Message from the President

Rachael Rosas, President

Hello MHVRP Members!

If you didn't make it to the AHVRP Conference earlier this fall, don't despair.  The presenter and information we are bringing to the MHVRP Spring Conference is straight from the AHVRP Conference.  Doug Della Pietra's presentation on Patient and Family-Centered Care was the talk of the town in Dallas.  I'm sure you will glean some valuable information from his presentation.

Stop by the website today to make your room reservation at www.mhvrp.org.  Also, don't forget, the password for our website changed at the end of November, 2012.  Notice has been sent out via Google Groups and a reminder will be sent out again.

Also, stay tuned to the website, where we are planning to make more changes and additions to better serve you!

Fall Education Day!

Thirty people attended the Fall Education Day on Monday, October 22 at Sparrow Hospital. The Presentation, LEAN Yellow Belt Training by Sparrow's own Bernard Adams, was outstanding! Participants were given the Yellow Belt training to assist with understanding the beginning processes and tools for LEAN processes and how to apply it to healthcare.

Participants walked away with a thorough understanding of how to go about starting the LEAN process within their own Volunteer Departments and the tools to get started.
