| Product Update: The FinishLine� |
|
The FinishLine� is the name of Columbia Forest Products finished panel offering. The FinishLine is made up of the following items:

 UV Wood is a beautiful, finished hardwood plywood panel featuring a clear, durable topcoat. This versatile epoxy acrylate finish is tough, resisting scrapes, chips and the effects of a solvent wipe down. UV Wood has no VOC emissions. Plus, UV Wood is available in satin, medium, and high gloss, can be finished on one or two sides, and is available on any core, grade, and species combination. It's perfect for kitchen cabinets, store fixtures, or anywhere a durable, clear finish is required.
 UV LabCoat™ is a pre-finished hardwood plywood with a premium topcoat that offers even more depth, clarity, and durability than our standard UV offering. It has earned the certification of Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) enabling it to be used in labs, schools, institutions, and other commercial installations that require chemical resistance of a laboratory grade finish.
- CustomColors™ is Columbia Forest Products solution to pre-applied custom stained panels. With a consistent match process CustomColors will help reduce labor time and also has no added VOC emissions. CustomColors is a pre-applied, UV cured, 100% solid stain, and is available in three gloss levels: satin, medium, and high.
- FirstStep� is Columbia Forest Products pre-primed panels. This labor saving product is designed to save 1-2 steps in the finishing process. The panels are coated with a low VOC primer, and are designed to be lightly sanded for smoothness prior to painting. FirstStep is also available in two colors: Almond and White.The FinishLine� products are also readily available. Columbia Forest Products offers regional finishing facilities for consistent availability and prompt delivery.
Combined with our PureBond� formaldehyde-free hardwood plywood technology, The FinishLine panels will enhance and improve your next project, meeting the highest standards for appearance, performance, and indoor air quality.

Columbia Forest Products has updated our website to include more comprehensive information on the different LEED� rating systems (LEED NC, LEED CI, etc.) and the NAHB Green Home Building Standard. PureBond Fabricator Network (PFN) Update
|
 Announcing our 3rd Annual PureBond Quality Awards (PQA) to be held March 1st through May 31st, 2014. This contest is open to any member of our PureBond Fabricator Network who wishes to submit a project that utilized our PureBond hardwood plywood products in the construction. For more information, click here.
Since Columbia Forest Products launched the PureBond Fabricator Network (PFN) in the summer of 2008 more than 900 fabricators from across North America have joined the program. You can be assured that a PFN member will use our product if you specify it, so you have the peace of mind that what you specify will be used (and not something cheaper or inferior being subbed in its place). If you have suggestions on fabricators to add to our program or would like more information, please contact us.

Continuing Education Offerings from Columbia Forest Products
|
 "Making the Most of Real Woods" is a continuing education offering on Interiors & Sources website. Go to www.interiorsandsources.com/ceus and follow the instructions. The article has been approved for one hour of continuing education credit (0.1 CEU) as approved by IDCEC or one Learning Unit (LU) as approved by AIA. The article, sponsored by Columbia Forest Products, gives some great information on the history behind decorative hardwood plywood and how to responsibly specify it.
We have launched our newest continuing education presentation. The presentation is titled "Decorative Hardwood Plywood & Veneer: Beautiful by Nature". It is AIA and GBCI approved for continuing education. This presentation will cover the basics of decorative hardwood plywood (adhesives, cores, and veneers), how to successfully specify it, and its green attributes. If you are interested in scheduling a presentation send an e-mail to [email protected].
Columbia Forest Products will be doing a webinar of our AIA/GBCI approved presentation "Decorative Hardwood Plywood & Veneer: Beautiful by Nature" on Thursday, April 3rd from 12 pm to 1 pm Eastern time. The course has been approved for one Learning Unit (LU) as approved by AIA, and is approved for 1 GBCI CE Hour.
