Does Absence Make the Heart Grow Fonder or School Harder?
 With the many activities available to students in the spring, the number of absences - many school-related - increases dramatically. How can you keep students moving through the learning process, even when they are absent? If these tools are available to you, put them to work...
Livescribe Smartpen: Use your pen to create short lectures or homework helpers that are available to students, even if they are absent. If you're the one who has to be gone, create a pencast from your teaching that the substitute can easily facilitate so that your student won't have to miss a day of learning because you're absent.
Document Camera: Use your document camera to document what you've done throughout the day for absent students. Take photographs or movies of what you've done under the camera, and you can even create a daily movie outlining what you've done for the day. Save time by creating it only once and making it available to all absent students!
Interactive Whiteboard Software: Use the recorder feature of your whiteboard software to capture your lesson time in a movie. Not only will your audio be captured, but students will also see everything that is taking place on the interactive whiteboard!

Q: Can I create a pencast PDF with my Livescribe Sky Wifi Smartpen?
A: Although Livescribe expressed to customers that this would happen, there has been no update to the Sky pen that makes this possible. As of now, the only way to create a pencast PDF is using a Pulse or Echo smartpen with Livescribe Desktop software. This allows you to keep confidential pencast information on your computer and is a file that can be easily opened by anyone, without the need for special software other than Adobe Reader.
EINSTRUCTION -Q: Is there any way that I can just try out Insight 360 for a short amount of time to see how my students and I like it?
A: You can get a free trial of Insight 360 Premium Edition and the Insight 360 Web Access add-on, in a single download.  eInstruction recently launched "Classroom Reimagined," their spring video contest. Now is your chance to show eInstruction how the all-new Insight 360 software easily integrates with classroom technology to improve student learning and provide immediate feedback, all while hopefully winning new technology for your school! How do you start?
