Greetings!
 It's great to be back in action! Hopefully you had an awesome winter break with friends and family. As the new year kicks off, many of our manufacturers will be announcing all the new releases of both software and hardware as TCEA, BETT and FETC are quickly approaching. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for new releases in the coming weeks. Along with those new releases will be new feature sets, new tools and new training needs for your staff.
Maybe some of you have set some new year's resolutions or goals for your classroom in 2013. Hopefully a big part of those goals involves technology and integrating the tools you have to more effectively engage your students. Or, maybe one of your goals is to obtain more technology for your students and staff to take the next step towards e-learning. In any case, we're here to help.

Trainers Needed For New Curriculum Offerings
Based on feedback from our customers, we are launching new curriculum for educators and the general public! Some of our new offerings include:
iPad Classes
Training on commonly used apps, basic iOs functionality and how to integrate your device into your daily life. Offered to everyone! Stay-at-home moms and dads, business professionals, seniors, educators, students, etc. Classes offered on week days, week nights and weekends.
Summer Tech Camps for Kids
An opportunity for kids to spend their summer having fun AND learning. Offered to 3rd-8th graders and will give kids the chance to create projects and participate in activities that incorporate tec  hnology. Summer dates are currently being scheduled. ................................ These offerings create a need for us to have qualified trainers available who are passionate about helping these various groups learn new technology skills. Our ideal trainers would have an above average knowledge of iPad apps and functionality as well as familiarity with the technology we sell. If you are interested in expanding your reach and/or earning some extra income contact us to let us know you'd like to be considered.

MimioBoard Now Available
Based on input from elementary and secondary educators using the MimioTeach bar, Mimio has released the new MimioBoard, a full-featured fixed solution that supports both wired and wireless operations and can be used as both an interactive whiteboard and a traditional dry erase board.The MimioBoard comes equipped with the intuitive MimioStudio™classroom software and integrates seamlessly with all MimioClassroom products including the MimioVote™ assessment, MimioView™ document camera, and MimioPad™ wireless pen tablet. This new tool can also be used with either short or long throw projectors, so schools and districts make the most of their existing projector inventory.

Each summer we make an effort to attend the ISTE conference to explore the "latest and greatest" technology tools that are plunging into the education market, and we never cease to be amazed at all the gadget  s, widgets and "one night wonders" that we see being promoted. Occasionally a tool or concept prompts us to say, "Wow, that really fits who we are and the beliefs that we represent - tools and companies that have a direct impact on student achievement in the classroom." Mimio's Ask a Master folks came through with another great video on Mimio lesson creation. The video below demonstrates one of the tools found in the MimioConnect download, Dynamic Tools - Multimedia Pack 2.
