The Seattle Area's
2014 Irish Community Picnic
This Sunday, July 27, Noon - 6 pm,
at Lake Sammamish State Park, Issaquah
NOTE: Sunday's Weather Forecast is 83°
and Clear, and the I-90 construction ends Friday evening! 
The Park's Kitchen Shelter Picnic Area has been reserved for our use from Noon until Dusk. All members and guests of Seattle's Irish community are invited to attend and will be very welcome

 

Hot-dogs and hamburgers will be provided for free, but please bring any other types of food you want, main dishes, side dishes, etc., along with your own beverages and a potluck dessert. Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the picnic area. 
To cook food other than the hot-dogs and hamburgers that are provided, there are several charcoal BBQ grills. There are more than 20 picnic tables with some inside the shelter. There's parking in our reserved area for about 60 cars with additional parking also available in an adjacent lot. No park entrance fee for those with a Discover Pass, $10 per car for all others.

The SEATTLE GAELS Hurling game starts at 12:30 PM and that will be followed by a Gaelic Football game. Simultaneously, kids can also try their hand playing Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football. Afterwards we'll have other games for young and old - 
3-legged races, sack-races, tug-o-war, straw search, water balloon toss, etc. It's going to be a fun day for the entire family!
Picnic Shelter
Several of the picnic tables inside the Kitchen Shelter will be reserved for the use of seniors and the sun-averse!

Picnic Area 

Lake Sammamish State Park is at 2000 NW Sammamish Rd, Issaquah, 15 miles east of downtown Seattle on the north side of I-90, 1/2 mile NW of Exit # 15. The Kitchen Shelter Picnic Area has been reserved in the name of the Irish Heritage Club.
