Joseph "Ted" Edward Galvin

September 18, 1931 - April 23, 2014

Ted Galvin, a native of Dublin, beloved father and cherished member of the Seattle area's Irish community, slipped into eternity on April 23 at the age of 82.

Ted was a genuine personality, harboring a wit and persona that brought his Irish roots to all occasions. Those fortunate to know him loved him and will always remember his infectious laugh, the roguish twinkle in his eye that portrayed kindness, sincere hospitality and committed friendship

Never shying away from hard work, he embraced professions such as lifeguard, coal miner, lumberjack, salesman and independent contractor, but always recognized the importance of family, friends and the necessity and joy of gathering together and celebrating life's moments together.

He is survived by his children: Michael, Scott, David and Leslie, as well as grandchildren Elise, Rachel and Joshua, and great-grandchild Fox.

Ted's Memorial Service will be this coming Saturday, June 14, at 1 pm at Bear Creek Community Church, 18931 NE 143rd St, Woodinville.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis

May his faithful soul rest the God's right hand

Beidh teaghlach breithe na hÉireann a' áiteamh agus a' chomhrac, ach lig béic a thagann ó amuigh, agus féach iad go léir a aontú.

A family of Irish birth will argue and fight, but let a shout come from without and see them all unite.
