If you can't attend The Irish Tenors Holiday Concert at Benaroya Hall in Seattle tonight, December 19th, the next best thing might be listening to Carl Loch Garman (The Wexford Carol) as played by Belfast's James Galway, "The Man With the Golden Flute". The Wexford Carol is one of Europe's oldest Christmas Carols and originates from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford in the 12th century. Traditionally sung only by men, the Carol is better known today by its opening words in English, "Good people all, this Christmas time".
Or see traditional Irish music group Altan at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin singing an Irish Gaelic Christmas Carol called Don oche d i mBeithil (I Sing of That Night in Bethlehem).
Or listen to Enya's beautiful version of Oche Chiin (Silent Night in Irish Gaelic).
And on New Year's Eve, give a proper goodbye to the old year with The High Kings singing The Parting Glass. A farewell song dating from at least the early 1600s, The Parting Glass was widely popular in Ireland and Scotland long before Robert Burns wrote Auld Lang Syne in 1788.
Three seniors and two teachers from a Secondary School in Dublin made a video to help raise awareness of the homeless this Christmas.
Watch Ireland's Laureate na ng (Children's Laureate) and some elementary school students create a Christmas Window at a Dublin Bookstore. The role of the Laureate na ng is to engage young people with high quality children's literature.
