QANTAS EXTENDS 'SELECT ON Q-EAT' TO PREMIUM ECONOMY 
Qantas announced the extension of 'Select on Q-Eat' to Premium Economy customers travelling on selected international flights.
Select on Q-Eat allows customers to pre-order their meal prior to flying, offering more choice, including an additional dish available as an online exclusive on select routes. Customers can pre-order their choice of meals between 7 days and 12 hours prior to departure via Manage your bookings at qantas.com.
Qantas will extend Select on Q-Eat to Premium Economy on all flights...
- Between Australia, London and Dubai (QF1, QF2, QF9 and QF10)
- Between Sydney and Dallas Fort Worth (QF7)
- Between Australia and Los Angeles (QF11, QF15, QF93 and QF107)

SINGAPORE AIRLINES A380 TO SERVE SHANGHAI 
From 27 October 2013, Singapore Airlines customers travelling to and from Shanghai will be able to enjoy the comfort of the world's largest aircraft, the Airbus A380.
The A380 will be used on five flights per week, increasing overall seat capacity by 12 per cent. It will feature a three-class configuration with 12 suites in first class, 60 flat-bed seats in business class and 399 seats in economy. Seats for both first and business class are positioned in a 1-2-1 layout, while economy class seats are arranged 3-4-3.

STAR ALLIANCE'S NEW LOS ANGELES SUPER LOUNGE
Star Alliance has opened its new lounge at Los Angeles International Airport Terminal. The sprawling 'super-lounge' will be managed by Air New Zealand, but open to all Star Alliance members travelling in business class or holding Star Alliance Gold Status and there is also a separate first class lounge.
The LAX lounge's design vibe is "inspired" by a contemporary interpretation of modernist Los Angeles architecture of the 1950s and 1960s.

QATAR AIRWAYS TO JOIN ONEWORLD ALLIANCE
 Qatar Airways will officially join the oneworld airline alliance on 30 October 2013. This move will further enhance Qantas' global network and provide the Australian airline with a second Gulf partner alongside Emirates. Qatar's membership sees Qantas travellers able to earn and burn frequent flyer points on Qatar flights, enjoy access to Qatar's lounges and tap into Qatar's own network to add flexibility to their flight schedule - especially from Melbourne and Perth, which are Qatar's two Australian ports. Qatar also introduced a new Platinum status level to line up against the top tiers of oneworld member airlines.

GARUDA INDONESIA ARRIVES AT THE NEW INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL AT DENPASAR
All passengers flying to Bali with Garuda Indonesia will now be arriving at the new International Terminal at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar. Arrival, checked-in baggage collection and immigration clearance will be handled at the airport's brand new International Terminal.
Garuda Indonesia customers departing from Bali are advised to arrive at the new international terminal at least two hours before their scheduled flight departure to provide sufficient time for check-in, security checks and immigration clearance.
As Indonesia's national carrier, Garuda Indonesia is currently completing the development of a First Class and Business Class Lounge in the new terminal. Set for launch in early 2014, an interim Business Class lounge is available for Garuda Indonesia passengers until the permanent lounge has been finalised.
Garuda Indonesia passengers will be able to enjoy a premium check-in area, dedicated to First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Garuda Frequent Flyer (GFF) members.
