Dear Patients, Family and Friends~ I just returned from a great trip with Lee Carroll to ChicagoLand; yes, it really is called ChicagoLand, about an hour south of the City. And what a lovely place! We were in Crystal Lake, a charming 'burb with lots of lakes, trails and greenery. Our host, Marie DeMaria and her volunteers did a wonderful job making us feel welcome and filling the room; thank you!
Most interesting was the Kryon Channel regarding the US and World economy. The essence was that it might not get worse before it gets better; but it is very broken, and what are we doing about greed consciousness? Also, the US will will be the leader in the clean-up and at the head of the pack when it comes to resurfacing as an strong example of how to do it right. All good news for me and I pray for a not-too-painful transition/transformation!
Other than that (big smile), life as usual here. We are on green light for 3 weeks in South America in October, and an upcoming workshop here...see below. Meanwhile what a summer! Love the rain, cool mornings and profusion of wild flowers. Sometimes my walks are at 6 am on the hot days.
Fill your hearts and lives with love; its never too soon or too late~*~*~*

I wasn't expecting to be at the Pepsi Center EVER, and certainly not on Wednesday to witness the spectacle of Lady GaGa (not even the Dali Lama got me there). But that's how things go in my life, and WOW! I just never know.
That night I flew in from my tour in Chicago with *Lee Carroll. Orion (my 24 yr old son) picked me and we went directly to the Event. First of all, just people-watching was worth the price of the ticket. There was every conceivable costume (some rivaled Vegas) to be seen. Apparently the ticket to Lady G was a pass to outrageous self expression! As She is 24, I expected to be the oldest person there...not so. Every age was represented; from parents with little kids, to quite a smattering of my age group. For my (ticket) money-which was considerable-she is not so much a pop musician as a performance artist who writes very edgy lyrics and sings.
I crossed over to appreciation when she yelled, "I don't want you going home tonight loving me more, I want you to go home tonight loving yourself more". What 24 year old pop star prancing around the stage in ripped fishnets and underware says that to an audience of 20,000? Certainly not Madonna or Brittany. Maybe Deepak or Ophra. There was more throughout the show, like when she stoped to 'pray' to a huge fountain/statue of Jesus (flowing red water and her neck is covered with fake blood) about social injustice and why-can't-we-all-be-loved-like-you-tell-us-to-love-one-another? I had an erie feeling that I was witnessing a Woodstock kind of phenonema, where in 30 years I'll say I was there and yeah, and it was not what I expected! I didn't come away a fan of the music, but interested in her social awareness...let's see what happens. |
