Last week, our high school students were honored to have Chaja Verveer, a Holocaust survivor visit and share her story followed by a visit to our Holocaust Exhibit as seen with Rabbi Carmel.
PINWHEELS FOR PEACE
Students from EC3 and upwards participated in a special project titled "Pinwheels for Peace" where they each decorated
COUNTING STARS
Mrs. Schneider's 1st grade students are learning about solving addition and subtraction problems using coins.
BLUE FOR YOU
EC 2 students are working on Yom Haatzmaut projects and Lila Jacobs is creating her portion of a class created degal (flag).
IT TAKES A VILLAGE
Kindergarten students are collaborating during free play time to create a unique village of various houses, castles and structures.
ROCKETMAN
Todd Guthrie's High School Astronomy class worked in small groups to create rockets that they then launched to much success.
To mark the end of their coursework, the Astronomy class enjoyed an informative field trip the Johnson Space Center.
ROLLING WITH MY FRIENDS
EC2 students are enjoying some play-doh time where they shared they were practicing to make "pizza, pita and challah!"
SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT...
In an effort to update and upgrade our campus, Nachum Yanowitz, our Board of Directors VP of Facilities and Bob Richard, our Building Manager have led the efforts to repaint the building exterior with energy efficient materials that will ultimate decrease our future energy costs.
CHIDON HATANACH
Mindy Pollak has coached two students, Rena Schwartz and Yarden Harel who volunteered for the Chidon HaTanach program. This extra-curricular activity involves rigorous studies and an immense dedication of time and commitment. Both students qualified for the national tournament that takes place in NYC on Friday. Kol Hakavod and good luck to Yarden who has decided to go on to the next round.
FLAG FRIENDS
Morah Roza Gross's 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students worked on decorating an Israeli flag that is displayed in the lower school hallway together that is comprised are Stars of David that were individually decorated by each student.
YOM HAZIKARON
A group of 10th and 11th grade students led a powerful tekes (ceremony) where upper school students were reminded of the sacrifice so many have made for the State of Israel and its freedom.
GIVE BLOOD
Sara Gerlitz is donating in honor of our RMBA Yom Hazikaron Blood Drive surrounded by our Lower School Student Council who organized the event.
GIFTS FOR ISRAEL
To honor Israel's birthday, 4th graders wrapped presents that included personal messages of their hopes for Israel in addition to decorating the gift table with images depicting their individual connections to Israel.
