INTERNATIONAL AFFAIR
Grade 5 students hosted the 12th Annual International Festival. Students selected a country and presented a project in Hebrew based on their research while offering a taste of the country through traditional dress, a diorama of a synagogue and a delicious treat to share. Jonnie Katz below, proudly presented Turkey.

Students have switched hats and are now focusing on learning about the story of Chanukah. EC4 teacher Sara Herbst introduces the awe inspiring story to her students this week.

ALUMNI ALWAYS WELCOME
Alumni Amit Ben Hamo (class of 2015) stopped by the school this week to visit with friends and teachers while on vacation from Israel. Geveret Chen asked her for an impromptu presentation to her class in Hebrew, about her experiences in the Israeli army thus far.
SYMETRY IN MOTION
As part of their Math studies, Kindergarten students Itamar Shitrit (l) and Matti Katz-Warmflash (r) are learning about symmetry and to illustrate this concept, are creating a design on half a page that will be folded and replicated on the other side.
DREIDEL YOGA
Morah Esther's EC 2 students are playing the dreidel game using their bodies as dreidels to spin, and then creating the hebrew letter they land on once again with their bodies. Lianne Kazaz (l) and Ben Ackerman (r) are partaking in this fun game of Dreidel Yoga!
STARS AND STRIPES
Ms. Schneider read "A Bad Case of the Stripes" by David Shannon to her Grade 1 students and they then completed a worksheet where they had to illustrate and write about their most vivid memory from the story. (l-r) Ellanor Navon and Gabriela Bunin are in the midst of their worksheet.
EXPRESS YOURSELF
EC 2 students have completed their fall projects in art class with Ms. Bryant and will be taking home their portfolios this week to share with their parents. Their new theme they have begun working on is titled "Things that Go!".
