FAREWELL TO ISRAEL
Our seniors returned this week from an epic adventure in Israel. They explored the beauty and rich history of the land while fostering a strong spiritual connection with Eretz Yisrael.
LETTERS TO ISRAELI SOLDIERS
Students got behind the "Supporting Israel Project" where for $3 a soldier would receive donuts for Chanukah in addition to supportive letters written by our students. To support this project email our Shlichim Ilan and Sheli Ehrlich by November 30.

FALL TIME FANS
EC4 students are working on Thanksgiving and Fall themed workbooks with (l-r) Naomi Micha and Anaelle Levenstein practicing their writing skills.
STICKS AND STONES
Mrs. Fowler's class is learning about the Geological Timeline of Life. It gives the children an impression about life on earth and how fossils have helped geologists give names to the time periods.
LIFE CYCLE LEARNING
Rabbi Rabinowitz's High Ethics elective class welcomed Mr. Josh Serwatien, a member of the Chevra Kadish of Houston and parent at the school to share the process involved when a Jewish loved one passes as they are completing a unit on "Comforting Mourners".

BEST FOOT FORWARD
Ms. Roisman hosted group of our High School students during parent teacher conferences this week who will serve as Student Ambassadors in a pilot program for the school. These students will be designated to represent the school in outreach events, tours, and communications.
SOUP FOR THE SOUL
Rachel Garner (l) and Sarah Plumb (r) assist Morah Roza to hand out delicious lentil soup for the students that her 4th grade students helped to make while learning about the story of the claim to the birthright between brothers Esau and Jacob.
EXPLORING THE MIND
Inspired by the release next month of the movie "Concussion" dealing with head trauma in football, Rabbi Block's 11th Grade Gemara class has been learning about the Halachic perspectives of entering into dangerous lines of work and engaging in practices that may be hazardous to ones health. Science teacher Mr. Guthrie gave two presentations about the scientific and medical ramifications of both practices that greatly enhanced this unit.
