YOM HAATZMAUT HIGHLIGHTS

From the moving davening and hallel service, to the festive Daglanut and Israeli dancing, to the amazingly creative themed games and activities, students got a real taste and experience of Israel in honor of Yom Haatzmaut and it was incredible! Kol Hakavod to all who helped organize this enriching experience. Enjoy the video below recapping the highlights from this incredible day!
Yom Haatzmaut
Yom Haatzmaut Celebrations at RMBA!

PAST RMBA HIGHLIGHTS
YOM HAZIKARON
Israel's Memorial Day was stoically observed at RMBA with a moving service for Upper School students beautifully led by 11th grade students with the guidance of our Bnot Sheirut and Shlichim. Following the sound of the siren calling for a minute of silence, students listened to incredible stories of courage and watched powerful imagery connected to Israel's difficult history.

ROOM TO ROLL
Students are learning the basics of clay in the art room! Younger grades are working on cutting out shapes and attaching them by using the method of slipping and scoring. Upper School students are learning slab construction, focusing on creating smooth, even slabs, and measuring pieces to ensure a perfect fit. 2nd grade students as seen below made small ring trays in different shapes such as a hand, heart, leaf, etc.
OFFICE SPACE
Morah Elisheva's 2nd graders now have their very own writing 'office'.  This is a special folder that sits on the desk that is covered with writing tips, check lists, topic ideas, handwriting cues and much more.  The 2nd graders are using these to enhance and improve their written work and so far it's really helping!  These will go with them to 3rd grade as well!

HOT WHEELS
EC 3 students eagerly listen to Coach Buchine's instruction as they prepare to race across the gym on their body scooters and engage in various other fun activities and games.

ROSH CHODESH BREAKFAST
The month of Iyyar was kicked off with a special davening session for all Upper School students followed by a delicious breakfast before students headed off to class.

PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS
In first grade Math, students are incorporating the technology at their finger tips while learning about fractional parts of a collection with pennies while interactively using their classroom SmartBoard.

ENRICHMENT TIME

EC 2 students enjoying their time in the Early Childhood Enrichment Center with this group of girls making good use of the Play Doh table and materials.
