YU SARACHEK TOURNAMENT Our high school boys basketball team travelled to New York for the Red Saracheck Basketball tournament, the country's most prestigious tournament for Jewish High School Basketball teams. Each year, hundreds of student-athletes and their fans from schools across the United States and Canada gather at Yeshiva University for four days of top-level competition and community-wide celebration. Although we came up short, we left it all on the court and the boys can be proud of a stellar season.

PLANT LIFE Elementary students are learning about the anatomy of plants in preparation for learning about photosynthesis next week. SHABBAT SHALOM EC 2 students eagerly watch their weekly Shabbat Abba and Imma pour each other juice to symbolize wine for Shabbat. Students welcome in the Sabbath by singing songs and saying the brachot for their juice and challah.
FEED THE HOMELESS
Middle and High school students were treated to a presentation by former teacher Hayley Grimland and her fiance William Ford who have started an organization called Food Crews Houston, that aims to serve and feed the homeless population of Houston.
To learn how our students can participate in this important cause click here.
TOUCHY SUBJECT
Our EC 4 class was generously gifted with a sensory table courtesy of Noah Ackerman's safta. Students will enjoy tactile exploration with various items such as rice, beans and gel beads.
4th GRADE PESACH PLAY The story of Pesach as told by our 4th grade students entirely in Hebrew was enjoyed by parents, friends and fellow students. The play was filled with costumes, props and well rehearsed dialogue leaving us all thoroughly entertained.
MAKING MATZAH EC3 students enjoyed making their very own Matzah in class by mixing flour and water, rolling the doll, making holes using forks, and then sampling the baked matzah.
ONEG SHABBAT TIME! EC 3, EC 4 and Kindergarten students enjoy their weekly Oneg Shabbat celebrations led by Mrs. Blumberg in the Library. Students enjoy story time, sing songs, dance and then return to their own classes for more Shabbat time along with challah and wine. HIGHER LEARNING Principals Raquel Cedano, Rabbi Aaron Levit and Helene Lubel participated in the annual Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Conference that was held in Houston and attended relevant and innovative sessions that inspired, supported, and taught how to continue to drive student, teacher, and school success.
