PAST RMBA HIGHLIGHTS
MIDDLE SCHOOL MEMORIES
Enjoy the video montage below recapping the memorable moments from last week's Middle School retreat.
MS RETREAT 2014
RMBA MIDDLE SCHOOL RETREAT 2014

FRESH CHALLAH
Every Friday, a dedicated group of 8th grade students visit other students throughout the school to deliver the Challah and pita bread pre-ordered on a weekly basis by families. The PTO is generously donating a portion of the proceeds raised from these sales to help offset the cost of the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C.

KAPPAROT
Morah Judy Pollack's elementary school students are holding their symbollically decorated chickens and reciting specific blessings for the ritual of Kapparot practiced by Jews prior to Yom Kippur

COFFEE TALK
Child, adolescent & adult psychotherapist Elyssa Fink shared some insightful information and suggestions regarding how to deal with temper tantrums attended by parents of lower school parents over coffee and croissants.

F IS FOR FUN
Each week, the students in EC 4 learn about a new letter of the alphabet and try to incorporate this theme throughout all their classes.  For example, the story of A Porcupine Named Fluffy was read to them and during circle time, students could bring objects beginning with the letter F and share and discuss. Students could also add to the Wall of Words in the classroom they identified as beginning with F and as an art project they decorated the letter F with feathers.

SAFETY FIRST
In honor of Fire Prevention Week, students in Pre-K to Grade 2 learned about fire safety through an entertaining puppet performance by the Houston Fire Department earlier this week while students in grades 4 and 5 were also treated to a fire safety and prevention speaker.

CAPABLE HANDS
Mrs. Lubel, along with the Early Childhood teachers and assistants, spent Sunday afternoon in class to renew their CPR/AED/First Aid certification through the American Heart Association.  Your children surely are in capable hands!

SUKKAH SURPRISES
Kindergarten students made colorful and lively Sukkah decorations during class and them decorated the school's Sukkah with their creations.

JUICY FRUITS
EC 15 students are learning about the festival of Sukkot and visited the Sukkah decoration outside their class to learn about sukkot and to identify different fruit and thereafter they enjoyed a delicious fruit salad in honor of Sukkot in the actual school Sukkah
