PAST RMBA HIGHLIGHTS
SUKKAH MUSEUM
Our first annual Sukkah Museum is up and running with incredible home made sukkahs being displayed in our school lobby. Students in grades K-5 participated in this optional project and made creative sukkahs out of clay, legos, popsicle sticks and any other recycled materials they could find. Parents are welcome to visit and take a look at these incredible sukkahs that our students have been marveling at all week!

IDF SOLDIER VISIT
The High School was honored with a visit this week from IDF Captain Snir.  Captain Snir served in the recent Operation Protective Edge and suffered a shrapnel injury when his unit was attacked.  Our students were deeply engaged in Captain Snir's lecture and were able to applaud the hero for his bravery and service to Israel.  Captain Snir's visit was sponsored by the Texas chapter of FIDF.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MILESTONE
This past week our Middle school students went on an incredible two day retreat where they enjoyed the opportunity to take advantage of beautiful recreational activities at Camp Cho-yeh with a focus on bonding the middle school students together with their own grades and as a whole. This was an incredibly positive and enriching experience for all!

POSITIVE PEN PALS
Morah Roza Gross's 3rd grade Hebrew class is corresponding with a school in Israel called Yakir. The Yakir students' English teacher is Shira Strauss, a graduate of RMBA and daughter of Morah Gross. The two classes are corresponding with each other and each student has a select student that they are sending cards and letters.  Our students are writing in Hebrew while the Yakir students are writing in English to improve their respective language skills. We hope to continue this pen pal tradition throughout the year.

FISH OUT OF WATER
EC 3 students each took turns painting a giant fish to represent the story of Jonah and the whale that they are learning about in class this week.  The finished whale now adorns the hallway outside their classroom.

IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL
EC 2 students have been learning all about the earth this week and they each participated in creating a wonderful collaborative poster for their classroom of the earth using hand prints, colored daubers and other fun materials.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Our Kindergarten students are working on their writing skills and practicing hard to perfect each letter of the alphabet while using individual dry eraser boards.

A BOLD STATEMENT
Our newly implemented High School Speech Elective class is well underway with students experiencing their first debate.  The topic was gun control legislation and students were divided into two groups, the affirmative or negative team and successfully debated the issue both factually and passionately under the tutelage of their instructor, Mrs. Janice Kusin.

SIGN OF THE TIMES
RMBA's striking new signage has been completed outside the Cliffwood gate entrance courtesy of RMBA PTO funding!
