ROBERT M. BEREN ACADEMY IS BOOMING!

We are thrilled to share that Robert M. Beren Academy is enjoying incredible attendance numbers with a consistant growth in number of students over the past few years. At the start of the 2012/2013 academic year we had 262 students enrolled, and the 2013/2014 academic year we had 269 students enrolled. For the 2014/2015 academic school year, we welcome 63 new students to our campus for a total of 291 students enrolled. We are incredibly proud of the BOOMING school and welcome all our new and returning students and families for yet another incredible school year at Robert M. Beren Academy!

You asked and we listened! We are excited to share our new and improved Robert M. Beren Academy website with you. Our administrative team has worked for months behind the scenes to design and create a website that is modern, informative and easy to use. Your feedback is important to us and we welcome your thoughts as we continuously strive to improve upon your experience as a parent at RMBA.
ONLINE CALENDAR
As parents, you can view our NEW school calendar on our website for events and updates about the school. The calendar allows you to select from different calendar categories to streamline information that you feel is relevant to you and your child/ren. We have also included Middle and High School test and project calendars where teachers will be sharing information about upcoming tests and projects. You can also import the RMBA calendar into your own personal calendars by selecting the calendar categories you wish to add and them selecting the subscribe option.
WEEKLY COMMUNICATION
Once again, we wish to keep you as informed as possible and we will continue to email this weekly newsletter known as the Beren Buzz. The Beren Buzz will include:
- A weekly Dvar Torah from Head of School Rabbi Aharoni Carmel
- a list of Upcoming Events and relevant details
- Highlights and Photos (or videos) from the past week
- Important Messages the school administration wishes to share
- Sports Updates from Coach Cole including schedules and results
- PTO Updates and Forms
- College Corner with updates from Dick Stabell
We will also be send a simple and concise Weekly Email Notification of pertinent upcoming school events each Sunday to keep parents informed about the week ahead.

The security of your children is of the utmost important to us at Robert M. Beren Academy. We continue to develop and implement security measures that will address all concerns you may have as parents, ultimately making this an even safer environment.

BEREN ACADEMY STARS
Middle School Volleyball Starts August 25th
The middle school team is open to girls in grades 6-8. The season will consist of a 8-10 game schedule with half of them being at Beren and the other half being away. Practices will take place after school and will be finished by 6:00pm. Each parent is responsible for finding transportation to and from away games. The team will be coached by Chris Cole and will focus on proper technique in the fundamentals of the game of volleyball. Each player will be required to have appropriate tennis shoes, knee pads and purchase a game shirt that will cost less than $15.00.

The Flag Football team is open to boys in grades 7-12. The season will consist of a 7-8 game schedule with half of them being at Beren and the other half being away. Practices will take place after school and will be finished by 6:00pm. Each parent is responsible for finding transportation to some of the away games with a van being provided for the ones that are farther away. The team will be coached by Adeyinka Peters and will focus on proper technique in the fundamentals of the game of flag football. Each player will be required to have appropriate rubber cleats.
