The Angels of Southwest Louisiana (www.angelsofswla.org), a member of the Angel Capital Association, has successfully completed a funding round with an infusion of capital into VoiceHIT, developer of the Better Day™ Health (Better Day™) Web-based clinic management software platform, which includes an electronic health record and consumer health management tools. Better Day™ Health is entering the market at a time when doctors are clamoring for higher-quality health technology products. Research shows that 66 percent of doctors use tablets and mobile devices, which gives healthcare providers the opportunity to easily access their electronic health records, drug information and other information. Unfortunately, healthcare software solutions have not kept pace. "As a Louisiana-based startup, VoiceHIT is fortunate to have a regional organization like the Angels of Southwest Louisiana invest in our company," said VoiceHIT CEO Peter Ragusa, MD, MPH.
