Greetings!
What's lurking in your basement or the floors of your closets? If you're like many of us, you'll find sealed up boxes of old letters and memorabilia. You don't know what to do with them, and you don't want to throw them away.

Let Your Memories See The Light
|
If your memorabilia are hiding in boxes, you might as well throw them all away, because you never get to enjoy them. Here's a few tips to help you organize them and take a trip down memory lane:
- First sort them into categories that make sense to you. Maybe it's by people - mom and dad, siblings, friends and children. Or maybe it's by events - a trip to Europe or graduations.
- Once you have them sorted, take one category at a time and pick out those items that really speak to you. You'll know what they are when you see them. For example, if you have 50 pages of artwork from your child, pick out the 5-10 pieces that you love and let the rest go.
- Let go of anything that you wouldn't want someone else to find. Do you really need those embarrassing love letters from your high school boyfriend?
- Find decorative memory boxes that you would want to display. There is a variety of options, but I like these Rubbermaid Bento boxes because you can pick a few items to fit into the indented top, and periodically rotate your memories.
- The box size will help limit the amount that you keep. Commit to keeping only what will fit into the designated box.
- Place them in a bookcase or shelving and enjoy having easy access to them!
