Tips from Tindall
Passenger Injuries
Did you know a passenger who gets hurt in a car accident usually has an easier case than a driver or any other type of personal injury plaintiff. This is because the passenger does not have to worry about proving liability; one of the drivers is going to be liable.

What to do if you are in an accident:

As a passenger you would want to get the insurance information for each at fault driver, and file claims with each driver's insurance company. Please make sure you inform the police officer that you were in the vehicle involved in the accident. Also make sure to tell the officer if you are having any pain or sustained any injuries. Also get checked out at the hospital if you are having any injuries or pain to make sure there are no broken bones, internal bleeding or other soft tissue injuries, which are internal and can be discovered on an x-ray, cat scan or MRI.

Even if the driver of the vehicle in which you are a passenger has no insurance and the other vehicle involved has no insurance, you can seek compensation for the injuries, losses and damages you have sustained from your own auto insurance.

If you are a passenger who was injured in a car accident, and have any questions about your legal rights, give us a call today 203-755-0018.

Students or Scoundrels: College Pranks Gone Bad

For many, college pranks are a rite of passage. They can be clever and funny, but they're not always legal. Good students with impressive credentials can find themselves on the Dean's List one day and the court roster the next. Knowing where to draw the line is essential.

What defines a prank? The University Daily Kansan ran an article citing a good prank as: involving humor, creativity, and surprise. It continues, "prank etiquette dictates that nobody sustains physical harm or injury and that there is no intent to hurt anyone."

So when does a prank cross the line from fun to felony?
Be careful at college, and when engaging in practical jokes in college or in your regular life because these so called jokes can subject you to criminal liability.

Click Here are a few examples of pranks that have gone too far.
